Wat kost openbaar opladen eigenlijk?
Er is geen enkele prijs. Dezelfde fysieke lader kan je anders in rekening brengen, afhankelijk van hoe je je authenticeert, en het verschil is groot genoeg om te bepalen waar je stopt.
Waarom er geen enkele prijs is
Een openbare oplaadsessie omvat ten minste drie partijen: de operator die de hardware bezit, de mobiliteitsdienstverlener wiens kaart of app je hebt gebruikt, en elk roamingplatform tussen hen. Elke partij neemt een marge, en het totaal hangt af van welke keten je toevallig hebt gebruikt.
Het resultaat is oprecht verwarrend. Het presenteren van een operator-app, een derde partij roamingkaart en een contactloze bankkaart bij dezelfde lader kan drie verschillende prijzen opleveren, soms met meer dan een factor twee verschil.

De per-minuut rij verdient aandacht. Als een netwerk op tijd in rekening brengt en je auto langzaam oplaadt — omdat deze koud is, of omdat je boven de 80% zit — betaal je voor de afname. Zie onze uitleg over laadcurves.
